Philosophy and Objectives Statement

The educational philosophy of our school community is of a human nature. We firmly believe in the human ability to transform their background and surroundings and come to the full realization of the person themselves through experiences and resources. In the end, the student will be able to think independently and critically, become life long learners and make responsible decisions.

Curriculum

In grades 7-11 our students follow the curriculum provided by the Honduran Ministry of Education and the curriculum suggested by the Association of Bilingual Schools of Honduras and CIS/NEASC.
The purpose of Happy Days/Freedom High School curriculum is to provide quality preparation for college, with strong emphasis on Mathematics, Science, and Humanities. In order to graduate at Freedom High School, students are also required to do one hundred and forty hours of community service.
High School Course Offering:
English: English Literature 9, Grammar 9, English World Literature 10, Grammar 10, English 11 (American Literature), Grammar 11,
Mathematics: Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus
Science: Physical Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics.(AP Chemistry is in the process).
Social Science: World History, U.S. History, Philosophy, Sociology and Accounting
Spanish: Spanish (9, 10, 11, ), Language and Spanish Literature.
Foreign Languages: Spanish as a Second Language (SSL), English as a Second Language (ESL), all grades.
Computer: Computers (9, 10, 11).
Physical Education: P.E (9 ,10, 11).
(Including: fitness, basketball, track and field, volleyball, and soccer).
The school also offers a wide variety of team sports at the child and pre-juvenile level.

Level / Class

Three sections are offered from PK until Eleventh grade. Class sizes are maintained at 25 pre-school, 28 primary and secondary. In addition we offer a Day Care center where children are taught as well as taken care of (with great love and affection).

Facilities

Three buildings for pre-school, primary and secondary. Library, science and manual arts laboratories, two gymnasiums, swimming pool, soccer fields and playgrounds.
